State of the Nation – Colleen Derr

In this week’s State of the Nation address we are met by Colleen Derr, President of Wesley Seminary. Watch this week’s address as she goes on to talk about the importance of your personal spiritual health as a leader in children’s ministry.

As children’s pastors, parents, volunteers, and whatever role you may have in ministry, we are called to know a lot of things about everything. This makes it difficult to set aside time for the growth of our spiritual health. However, time is the one resource we have available to us that we can control so I want to challenge you to ask your self how much time you’re spending on your spiritual growth.

Try to set aside time everyday for your the growth of your spiritual health not only for yourself, but for the sake of the children you are around and serve.

State of the Nation – Corey Jones

In this week’s State of the Nation we are met by Corey Jones, Executive Pastor of the Next Generation. Take a moment to watch this week’s address as he talks about dealing with the pressures of ministry and breaking things down into small, manageable steps.

Sometimes we neglect the important things and instead focus on more urgent problems. We might even feel that we are too busy to go above and beyond for someone we care about. Remember that you are not too busy to love, just take some time to forget about all the pressures and break things down into smaller steps that you can handle.
